Judith Lanigan: a hula revolution revelation

On “the world’s smallest stage” at the Byron Bay RSL Club Judith Lanigan performed in a stellar cast at the Writers Cabaret last night. She performedThe Dying Swan’ a hula hoop act based on the ballet divertissement choreographed by Fokine for Anna Pavlova in the early 20th century. Lanigan uses hoop skills learnt at the Moscow State Circus School as well as the contemporary clown techniques.
And the woman can write.
She has written histories of the hula hoop and her novel, The True History Of The Hula Hoop has just come out. To see more, check out here.
